2nd TRANSNATIONAL MEETING<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Biodiversity and green and blue infrastructure in the municipalities of the MAC Cooperation Area (1\/MAC\/2\/2.7\/0098)<\/p>\n

Bio Eco-Tur is a Territorial Cooperation project under the Interreg MAC programme, whose main objective is to promote the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity and green and blue infrastructure, including in urban areas, as well as the reduction of all forms of pollution.<\/p>\n

The project stems from the need to preserve and maintain the ecological balance of Macaronesian ecosystems, which are in a critical state due to threats such as climate change, invasive species and forest fires, amongst others.<\/p>\n

This project, focused on enhancing and expanding the natural capital of the participating municipalities, is characterised by its emphasis on local leadership and by driving the development of infrastructure that can be replicated in areas with similar characteristics.<\/p>\n
