The company Gesti\u00f3n y Planeamiento Territorial y Medioambiental S.A., in collaboration with the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is organising the Workshop on CO2 and Ocean Acidification under the PLANCLIMAC2 Project (1\/MAC\/2\/2.4\/0006) of the Territorial Cooperation Programme INTERREG VI-D Madeira-Azores-Canary Islands (MAC) 2021-2027, in the priority 2 – MAC GREEN – Ecological transition, support to the development of a green and blue economy, fight against climate change, prevention and management of risks and catastrophes.<\/p>\n

The workshop will take place in the Marine Observatory of Climate Change in Fuencaliente de La Palma, taking advantage of its environment as a natural laboratory of acidification, generated by coastal emissions in Fuencaliente and its environmental consequences.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Workshop on CO2 and Ocean Acidification is to explore the impact of increased atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions on ocean chemistry from a holistic perspective, taking into account the physical, chemical, biological and geological processes occurring in the ocean, as well as their interactions.<\/p>\n

Special attention will be paid to the Canary and Macaronesian region, examining processes at different scales and considering the particularities of these oceanic areas.<\/p>\n

  6. Anthropogenic carbon and pH.<\/li>\n
  7. Determination of anthropogenic carbon.<\/li>\n
  8. CO2 sequestration process for mitigation.<\/li>\n
  9.
