The CAMBIOS project (2/MAC/3/6.1/0215_CAP), through the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energy (ITER), will hold an online training session to present its comprehensive environmental monitoring system developed and validated in the Canary Islands.
This presentation is the starting point for transferring the knowledge acquired in previous projects, such as SOSTURMAC and MACLAB-PV, and for beginning its adaptation to vulnerable urban environments.
The session, which will have simultaneous translation in Spanish and Portuguese, is mainly aimed at project partners from Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe, although participation is open to other interested entities or individuals.
During the training, participants will gain an overview of the benefits of environmental monitoring, the basic characteristics of monitoring systems and the importance of having a communication system that allows the monitored data to be collected, visualised and interpreted. This knowledge will enable participants to move on to the next phase of the project: adapting the system to their own urban contexts.
