MARLICE is the leading international forum dedicated to the issue of marine litter and the circular economy, a unique platform that, since 2019, has brought together public authorities, scientific bodies, businesses, international organisations and civil society to share knowledge and develop collaborative solutions.
In this way, MARLICE serves as a meeting point for stakeholders concerned with the issue of marine litter to pool knowledge and experience and find solutions, and aims to establish an effective collaborative framework that helps prevent and reduce the volume and impact of waste entering the marine environment.
Organised by the Spanish Marine Litter Association (AEBAM), the event will include plenary sessions, round tables, interactive workshops and networking spaces designed to foster action and joint commitment towards waste-free seas.
Its fourth edition will take place from 19 to 21 May 2026 in the Canary Islands, under the slogan ‘Circular solutions for clean oceans’, coordinated by the Spanish Marine Litter Association (AEBAM) and promoted by the Deputy Ministry of Ecological Transition, Climate Change and Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands within the framework of the CIRCULAROCEAN project.
CIRCULAROCEAN is a territorial cooperation project approved in the first call for proposals of the INTERREG VI-D MAC (Madeira-Azores-Canary Islands) Programme 2021–2027, with code 1/MAC/2/2.6/0023, and 85% co-financed by the ERDF.
