On 25 May, the organisation we now know as the African Union was founded – the only association to which all 55 states on the continent belong. That is why 25 May is considered Africa Day and is celebrated around the world.
To mark this day, Casa África has organised a wide range of activities since its inception (exhibitions, workshops, gastronomy, fashion, music, sport, conferences, etc.) always in collaboration with the Federation of African Associations in the Canary Islands (FAAC), the Elder Museum of Science and Technology, the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC), the Tarifa/Tangier African Film Festival (FCAT) and with the support of Binter.
Once again, and in the same spirit of discovery and sharing that always accompanies this celebration, we present the activities that make up the 2026 programme for África Vive, which we hope you will come and enjoy.
