Detalles del evento

In a context of increasing digitalisation and technological transformation, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a strategic tool for optimising the management of the complete water cycle. From real-time monitoring to the prediction of demand or the optimisation of infrastructures, AI offers revolutionary potential for a key sector in the sustainability of island territories such as the Canary Islands. This keynote speech aims to generate a space for reflection and dissemination on the role of AI in water management, its real applications and challenges. Through case studies and critical analysis, the ethical, technical and organisational implications for an effective integration of these technologies in the sector will be addressed.

Objectives:

  • To disseminate the current and potential role of AI in water management.
  • To learn about real use cases and practical applications in different phases of the water cycle.
  • To identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency and sustainability enabled by AI.
  • Encourage critical thinking about challenges, risks and conditions for success (training, data, ethics, governance, etc.).
  • Establish the basis for a progressive digitisation strategy with AI in the sector.

Aimed at:

Managers, heads and technicians of water cycle management entities, city councils, councils and island councils; digitisation experts, researchers, students and new professionals interested in the use of AI applied to water management.

Speaker:

Mr Javier Santana Afonso – Technology consultant specialising in artificial intelligence – Founder of Cognitia Tech, expert in AI applied to digital transformation. With extensive experience in automation, data analysis and process optimisation, he has led high-impact projects aimed at improving decision-making through data-driven solutions. He also teaches and advises institutions on advanced technology strategies.

Registration is compulsory and open until 26 May at 17:00:  https://www.spegc.org/formacion-y-eventos/charla-magistral-inteligencia-artificial-en-el-ciclo-del-agua/

It will end with a closing cocktail among the attendees.
