Detalles del evento

The purpose of the meeting is to promote growth and innovation in the local nautical-maritime sector, committing to a vision of the future based on the application of new technologies, knowledge transfer and collaboration between companies and institutions.

It is aimed at professionals and companies in the nautical field, as well as public and private entities interested in the economic and technological development of the sector. Its objective is to strengthen the business fabric of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as an economic engine and benchmark in the Atlantic, generating new business opportunities, growth and international visibility for local nautical services.

The programme, with a marked technological focus, will offer a schedule of presentations that demonstrate how innovation is transforming the sector, also incorporating experiences from leading regions such as the Basque-French coast.

The conference will begin at 6 p.m. with an institutional welcome, followed by presentations from leading companies and experts:

• Mr Juhane Dascon, representing ESTIA (Higher School of Advanced Industrial Engineering, France), who will address nautical science and technology transfer in peripheral areas, focusing on how to innovate far from the major centres of innovation.

• Mr. Carlos Acosta, CEO of Bluematt Ingeniería Subacuática, will present the topic of ‘biofouling,’ a silent threat.

• Mr. Luis Peña, CEO of Lurtis AI, will discuss applications of Artificial Intelligence and language models in maintenance in the shipping and industrial sectors.

• Mr. Sergi Rosés, from Electric Inside Boats, will share his experience in converting recreational boats to zero emissions.

The event will conclude with a networking and professional exchange space, promoting connections between the different agents in the nautical ecosystem. The titles and order of the presentations may be subject to slight changes, as the programme is still being finalised.

Overall, the 10th Franco-Spanish Nautical Professional Week seeks to offer high added value content, combining innovation, sustainability and vision for the future, with a focus on promoting the blue industry and the technological transformation of the nautical sector.
