MINI COPA ÁFRICA TENERIFE 2026 is a sporting and cultural project that aims to bring together young people, communities and cultures through football, promoting values such as inclusion, respect, harmony and sporting talent.
The event will take place on the island of Tenerife, at the El Cantillo football ground (Tacoronte), from 29 June to 11 July 2026, and will feature teams from Cape Verde, The Gambia, Morocco, Mauritania, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Senegal, Guinea and the Canary Islands.
This tournament represents much more than just football. It is an opportunity to strengthen ties between cultures, support young talent, present a positive image of the African community in Tenerife and highlight the warm welcome offered by the people of the Canary Islands.
This initiative is supported by the UD Las Palmas Canary Islands Foundation, through the CONVIDA Project; the Sansofé Campus at the University of La Laguna (ULL); the “Aquí estamos migrando” Association; the Seneball Association; and the UD Tacoronte football club.
Casa África is collaborating as part of the European COMPASS project, which takes a comprehensive approach to the phenomenon of migration at both its point of origin and destination.
