The main objective of these conferences is to present the REDCENTROS project and identify the territorial, technical and training needs associated with the creation of wildlife recovery centres, through the involvement of local agents and the promotion of their active participation in this initiative. The conference will focus on two fundamental areas:
Training in specialised veterinary care for wildlife, provided by veterinary technicians from the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Cabildo de Tenerife.
Exchange of experiences with wildlife rescue centres in the Canary Islands.
In addition, diagnostic activities will be carried out in the field and field visits will be made to complement the cooperation and mutual collaboration between the project partners and also with the main entities and actors in the host country.
The aim is to strengthen local technical capacities and transfer the knowledge acquired in the Canary Islands, contributing to the development of a model adapted to the reality of each region.
