The CAMBIOS project (2/MAC/3/6.1/0215_CAP) continues to make progress in the transfer of a comprehensive environmental monitoring system developed and validated by the Institute of Technology and Renewable Energy (ITER), with a new online training session due to take place on 2 October 2026, from 10.00 to 12.30 (Canary Islands time). It will hold an online training session aimed at presenting its comprehensive environmental monitoring system, developed and validated in the Canary Islands.
Entitled ‘Technical adaptation and practical application of the environmental monitoring system in vulnerable urban environments’, this second training session will build on the training held in March and will provide an in-depth look at the technical, methodological and practical aspects required to adapt and apply the CAMBIOS system to the characteristics of the participating territories (Cape Verde and São Tomé and Príncipe).
The second session, which will feature simultaneous interpretation into Spanish and Portuguese, complements the content of the first training session and, together with it, enables participants to complete the training programme required to obtain the Official Training Certificate. Those who were unable to attend the first session will be able to complete it at a later date via the CAMBIOS project’s training platform, where they can access the content and complete the training: https://capacitacambios.iter.es/
Subsequently, both the training materials and the video recording of the session will be made available to participants on the project’s training platform.
This activity is a key element in strengthening the technical capacities of the participating teams and facilitating the future implementation of the system in the target regions.
