ATLANTE Project

ATLANTE is a strategic project supporting the Programme and MAC projects, whose overall objective is to improve the governance of cooperation within the region by establishing common frameworks for dialogue and institutional coordination, which facilitate the identification of joint strategies and actions of common interest, and which promote the revitalisation of cooperation and the capitalisation of the results obtained.

  1. To strengthen the capacity of public authorities to establish common areas and strategies for intervention that address challenges of shared interest within the cooperation area and promote thematic coordination between the ERDF and the NDICI/Global Europe, as well as with other European or international programmes and instruments present in the region.
  2. To boost cooperation between the European and African partners in the area, in order to foster mutual understanding that enables the identification and formulation of new joint projects and common frameworks for action, as well as to improve the visibility and ownership of the Programme in third countries
  3. Strengthen the capacity of public authorities and other stakeholders to capitalise on the results achieved and the knowledge generated in projects co-financed by the MAC 2007–2013 and 2014–2020 programmes, as well as to integrate the capitalisation objective into MAC 2021–2027 projects
