Scope of competence
El Clúster Marítimo de Canarias (CMC), es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro de ámbito regional que surge en 2008, cuyo objetivo primordial es favorecer el desarrollo y la competitividad internacional del Sector Marino Marítimo de Canarias elevando a su vez el tejido empresarial, económico y social de Canarias a través de la integración, creación, fortalecimiento y sostenibilidad de las empresas e instituciones que se encuentran dentro de la cadena de valor del sector marino marítimo.
Territorial scope
El CMC apoya las estrategias de innovación e internacionalización de las empresas dentro de la Economía Azul en Canarias. Agrupa a más de 100 miembros, entre los que se incluyen grandes empresas, pequeñas y medianas empresas, organizaciones de investigación, universidades, centros tecnológicos, y otras entidades y administraciones anexas al ecosistema.
Priorities and specific objectives
SO 1.1 Developing and improving research and innovation capacities and the implementation of advanced technologies.
SO 1.3 Reinforcing sustainable growth, competitiveness and employment creation in SMEs, also through investments that generate income.
SO 2.2 Promotion of renewable energies in accordance with Directive (EU) 2018/2001, with a focus on sustainability criteria detailed there.
SO 2.6 Promoting the transition towards a circular and efficient economy in resource consumption.
SO 2.7 Promoting the protection and conservation of nature, biodiversity and ecological infrastructures, also in urban areas, and the reduction of all forms of pollution
